The Cabinet Configuration Utility is an innovative software facility designed for in-house use that is now available to APW Presidents customers as well.

The CCU allows the user to do a realistic to-scale simulation of integrating various types of Servers, Networking equipment and other related accessories into a Cabinet of choice. The preferred layout arrangement can thus be worked out so as to ensure that there is no conflict between physical units, cable routing can also be planned, as also air flows and other thermal considerations – such as locations of Fan Trays.

The system provides a library of icons representing various types of standard networking equipment. These can be picked and placed as desired inside the selected cabinet. The Frontal and sideways help in the optimization of the layout. Several different configurations can be placed side by side in adjacent cabinets – as would be normal in a Data Centre.

The configurations, when finalized, can be printed out, emailed, or saved as Templates for use later.
